DGEN ends down

Dhaka, Apr 9 (bdnews24.com) – The benchmark index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) ended the week's second business day 7.73 points lower.

The DGEN closed at 5099.04 points or 0.15 percent on Monday after fluctuations.

Shares and mutual funds worth around Tk 6.89 billion changed hands with prices of 83 issues advancing, 162 declining and 11 remaining unchanged.

The index reached its peak at 5140.17 points around 1:15pm.

The key index had ended the week's first business day with a marginal gain of 7.86 points.

Sunday's turnover was around Tk 1.58 billion higher than Thursday's.

The DGEN ended last week's trade gaining 78 points. The turnover was around Tk 5.22 billion, which was the lowest in the week.

The general index gained around 109 points or 2.18 percent in the past week. The average daily transaction was around Tk 7.27 billion.

The week before, the general index had gained 231 points.
